The farm kitchen had many hand-driven appliances in the 1930s, a cream separator, a butter churn, and large bread bowl, plus many other smaller kitchen aids

In one corner of the museum old school desks, a green board, the alphabet, models of the two Burwalde schools and many old school books are displayed. On the left is the wedding dress of Mrs. John R. Walkof.


Hours of Operation are:
Monday - closed;
Tuesday to Friday - 12-4 pm
Thursday + Friday - 7-9 pm
Saturday - 10 am - 4 pm

Visits may be by appointment as well, just contact us. There is no admission fee, but donations are gratefully accepted.

The museum has a variety of exhibits including early photographs, children’s toys, quilts, furniture, musical instruments, dishes and school items all with some connection to the area’s history.

The Winkler Heritage Museum accepts donations of antique furniture, clothes, toys, dishes, tools, photos, handcraft items, etc. These items should have a connection with Winkler and surrounding area and should be in good condition. To check if your article is suitable contact the following person:
